This is a rare antique carved shell cameo set in 10K gold. Depicting Greed wine god Dionysus adorned with a crown of grape vines and holding a thyrsus, the details are masterfully carved. The bezel is also finely engraved 10K rose gold the back is designed with a pinback that is marked 10K inside a C and also has a bale so the cameo can be worn as a pendant. Measures 2 inches tall by 1.5 inches wide weighs 10 grams. Slight denting in the bezel otherwise very good condition. A beautiful fine example and rare work of wearable art, a must have for any fine cameo collection that would be a great gift for that wine enthusiast as well.
