A very rare antique box set with green and white banded agate (chrysoprase) lid and bottom set in gold gilt bronze with fancy enamel decoration around the outside. Measures 2 ½ inches by 2 ⅛ inch and ⅞ inch tall. There is age appropriate wear to the gold gilt and the red bronze shows in the high areas, there are a few places with missing enamel right by the hinge. Overall in very good condition, French late 29th century. Weighs 65 grams.
